Jennings SEAT has expanded its sales team with a new recruit.
David Cook, 32, from Darlington, has joined the Cargo Fleet Lane dealership as sales executive.
David brings with him more than six years’ motor sales experience having in the past, worked in a similar capacity for a couple of motor dealers in Teesside.
Prior to embarking on a career in car sales, David served seven years in the Royal Signals.
“I’ve always been interested in cars so when I decided to leave the army, I knew I wanted to find employment within the motor industry,” said David.
As sales executive at Jennings SEAT, David will be responsible for selling new and used cars at the Cargo Fleet Lane dealership, in addition to contributing towards monthly and quarterly sales objectives set out by SEAT and liaising with existing and potential customers.
He added; “This is an excellent opportunity and an exciting time for me to be joining the company with the imminent arrival and launch of SEAT’s new models in the Ibiza SR range, the sporty Cupra, FR and Bocanegra.”
In addition to the new models, the full SEAT range including the Ibiza, Leon, Altea, Altea XL, Exeo, Exeo ST and Alhambra are also on display and available to test drive at the Middlesbrough dealership.
David’s career hasn’t quite turned out the way he initially planned. After leaving secondary school, he successfully completed a building studies course, with the aim to find suitable employment in the construction industry.
David went on to say; “Although I enjoyed the training course, construction just wasn’t for me and I decided to join the army. Changing my career completely to the motor industry has been the best move and most definitely the best career decision I have made.”
