According to staff at Jennings, there’s a model in the SEAT family that appears to be breaking more than one record.
In addition to setting a new economy record by covering a staggering 970 miles on a single tank of fuel, the Ibiza ECOmotive model is also breaking sales records at the group’s Cargo Fleet Lane dealership in Middlesbrough.
The new economy record was set by internationally renowned economy driving champion, Gerhard Plattner, who set off from SEAT’s headquarters in Martorell, near Barcelona and drove across France and Germany.
Launched at the beginning of the year, the Ibiza ECOmotive 1.4 TD, five-door model is appealing to environmentally conscious customers who simply want a greener eco-friendly model.
Craig Johnson, franchise manager at Jennings SEAT in Middlesbrough, said;

A particulate filter and an exhaust gas recirculation system, makes the Ibiza ECOmotive one of the cleanest-running cars on the market with CO2 emissions of only 99g/kg. Sitting comfortably in the Group A tax band means the vehicle is exempt from road tax.
Standard specification for the Ibiza Ecomotive model includes air conditioning, MP3 CD player, electric windows, remote central locking and power assisted steering.
Other models available in the ECOmotive range include the Leon and Alhambra.
